Katie Sullivan

Born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Katie started working in tech theatre at age 13. This passion for the arts led her to the University of Evansville where she received her BFA in design under the guidance of Eric Renschler. Upon graduating, she moved to Washington, DC to pursue her MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Maryland College Park, which she completed in May 2016. While at UMD, she had the pleasure of assisting Daniel Conway and Misha Kachman on countless projects around the DC area and across the country. After completing her MFA, Katie worked as an assistant designer in the studio of Tony Award winning set designer Derek McLane. She currently works as a teaching artist and freelance set designer based in the DC area. When not in the studio, Katie can be found marathon training on The Mall, fanatically cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Nationals, or exploring various culinary endeavors. Her strong work ethic and passionate dedication to her craft is what drives her to be a better artist and collaborator every day.
